Cuyahoga Community College
Cuyahoga Community College is also known as Tri-C and that’s the name of the website as well. The college is already half a century old; it opened in 1963 and since then it has been providing quality education to its students with the highest standards. They are also known for providing very affordable programs as compared to their competitors in the same city. They are fully accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and schools and it is stated in their mission to provide affordable education to students.
Their program is one of the most trustable LPN programs in Cleveland Ohio and is a certificate. The program continues for a full one year and every year the students are enrolled in the program during the fall semester. Since its inception that college has always done its best to stay ahead in competition from other colleges and so it did. The college offers one of the very few online LPN programs in Cleveland Ohio and this means that students can get their nursing education through the online campus of the college too.
Their practical nursing program is offered in day and evening classes both for the convenience of students. Since the program is one year long it consists of 2 semesters. There is an additional summer session in the program as well. Laboratories and regular classes are provided to both the evening and day students at the college but the clinical externship is provided through the best cares settings available to the college. The good thing about their practical nursing classes is that their major focus is on training the students practically i.e. students spend more time in a week doing clinical practice than listening to lectures in the classes.
Central School Of Practical Nursing
As the name suggests, Central School of Practical Nursing is also focused on nursing programs so the level of studies here would be more focused and personalized for students than in any other place. It is also among the old Cleveland Ohio LPN schools and has been around for more than 70 years now. Starting in 1937 the college is offering the oldest program on practical nursing in the state. The college gets it accreditation from Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. In addition to its accreditation from ABHES it is also approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
You wouldn’t find a nursing program as comprehensive as the one offered at CSPN in any other college in the area. The program offered by CSPN is 46 weeks long and has been divided into 4 different levels that are nearly equal in lengths. Every week, the students get to spend 2 days in the classrooms receiving lectures and 2 more days in getting the most-required clinical experience; so at the end of the program they have practically experienced just as much as they have read theoretically in their books and curriculum.
All the required information for the students has been given on the website with course details for all four levels on 4 different web pages. The college operates by enrolling the students as soon as they apply after making sure the requirements have been met – there is no waiting list. The regular day classes for the practical nursing program start in the morning at 8am and continue to up to 4pm in the evening. The evening classes start at 1pm and end at 8pm in the evening. The timings for clinical classes are a little earlier than the regular classes. The college offers only the licensed practical nurse program and no other nursing program.
ATS Institute Of Technology
The nursing program from ATS Institute of Technology is also considered among the most focused Cleveland Ohio LPN programs. This institute is also focused only on providing practical nursing course and considers itself a missionary of making the nursing career accepted worldwide as a respectable profession. It is not a hidden fact that before 1800s this particular profession wasn’t given the respect it always deserved but today the demand for nurses has gone sky high and in the coming years the demand has been anticipated to rise even more.
Their LPN classes in Cleveland Ohio are some of the most frequent and active classes accepting students three times in a year. Students who have jobs or need to give time to other important things in their lives can take up the evening classes. The length of the program is 3 semesters in which the students are taught everything from the basics of nursing to most difficult situations that they might have to face in their professional career through clinical settings that go along the regular classes. The simulated labs are also used for giving even more challenging training to the students.
ATS Institute is definitely a highly recommendable institute for LPN training in Cleveland Ohio. Students who are financially challenged and think they won’t be able to continue with their nursing career due to lack of finances can even apply for aid. Financial loans are available through FAFSA through various loan programs including Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loan, PLUS Loan and NEALP (Nurse Education Assistance Loan Program). They have Pell Grants and scholarships available too. In short, with admissions taking place 3 times a year and several financial aid programs, every student interested in nursing career should apply in this institute.
